What is SmaTiX and who is it aimed at?
SmaTiX (“Small Ticket Express”) is AKA Bank’s digital portal for standardised export financing in the small ticket sector. Registered exporters can use the platform to apply for financing for export transactions ranging from 1 million to 15 million euros or US dollars easily and digitally. The service is aimed at exporters from the DACH region and, since March 2026, also from Belgium and the Netherlands. SmaTiX brings efficiency where traditional export financing is often too cumbersome for smaller volumes.
A one-stop solution
SmaTiX doesn’t stop at the first application: AKA Bank supports the entire process, from the loan application to the disbursement. The digital one-stop-shop approach simplifies the process and reduces complexity for exporters.
Benefits for exporters and buyers
Exporters receive immediate payment on cash terms, securing early liquidity and reducing balance-sheet exposure. At the same time, buyers benefit from attractive medium- to long-term financing, often with longer repayment periods and more favourable conditions than those available locally. Existing credit facilities can also be preserved for other strategic purposes. Backed by export credit agencies (ECAs), these financing solutions combine risk mitigation with competitive funding, creating advantages for both exporters and buyers.
Particularly suitable for standardisable export transactions
SmaTiX is designed for exporters in the capital goods and project sectors, where buyer financing offers clear advantages and transactions can be executed efficiently through a standardised process. The platform delivers particular value for businesses with recurring shipments, modular projects or globally scalable product portfolios, with transaction volumes typically ranging from 1 to 15 million euros or US dollars.
Thinking European. Delivered digitally.
With its expansion into Belgium and the Netherlands, AKA Bank is further developing SmaTiX as a cross-border, standardised financing solution for small ticket export transactions. This growth is supported by an expanded European ECA network, including partners such as Credendo and Atradius.
As a result, exporters in additional European markets gain access to a digital and standardised buyer credit process – fast in the early stages, efficient in execution, and delivered through a single point of contact.
